Arsenal are still locked in the Premier League title race. Mikel Arteta’s team is four points behind the leader Liverpool, although they have a game more compared to the Merseyside giants. During the week Arsenal won the North London derby against Tottenham Hotspur at the Emirates – 2-1. Spurs opened the score, but managed to turn the match around. Tottenham’s Dominic Solanke scored himself an own goal while Leandro Trossard secured the winner.

Arsenal are without their Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus until the end of the season. The striker injured himself during the FA Cup clash against Manchester United.

Aston Villa won their last two matches in the league against Leicester and Everton. This allowed the Villans to climb to 7th place in the league with 35 points – on par with the 6th Manchester City.

In their last match Unai Emery’s boys paid a visit to Everton and beat the Toffees with their new manager David Moyes. Ollie Watkins scored the only goal in the match in the second half after an assist from Morgan Rogers. It was Watkins’ 9th league goal for the season. Last year he finished the campaign with 19 goals so he can still improve.
